July Access Awards
Two weeks ago on Thursday a group of us from the access group gave out awards to shops in town. We gave awards to Ladbrooks, River Island, Gap and George for promoting good disabled access. Dee 106.3 Radio Station www.dee1063.com was there, they interviewed Mike Flood from Scope and some of the managers from the shops. Some members of the group gave out the awards. For example River Island has recently been refurbished and has low level counters a lift a disabled changing room for wheelchair access. We will continue awarding shops in Chester for good disabled access and are lining up the next awards for Woolworth’s and Argos. We plan to present awards to two country parks in Northwitch which have recently resurfaced their pathways and made their bridges and other stuctures more accessible.
